I have met many wonderful people over the years from FUA. I have had many opportunities that have resulted from attending Apicius upon my return to the states. Currently I am attending Le Cordon Bleu and participating in their Wine and Management Program. I will be there for the next year intensively studying and working in the wine industry. Before this I was managing a restaurant in Hollywood called, the
Hungry Cat. The Hungry Cat is a modern fresh seafood restaurant with a "farm to table" menu. I worked in the front of the house operations there for over one and a half years. There are a few other positions that I have held before that. You can let me know if you would like more information.
My time at Apicius was amazing. I attended the university twice. The first time was in the Summer of 2004 for a short term study abroad program with Eastern Illinois University. I fell in love with the school, Gabriella and all of the other amazing staff! I came back in the Fall of 2005 to do a full semester in the Free Elective Program. It was a life changing experience that gave me the drive to explore the world of food and wine. After the program I was fortunate enough to assist the school with some of the James Beard dinners held in NYC. I have always looked up to Gabriella and have been inspired by all of the work and dedication that she has put into her schools and into the students.
