Sous Chef
We are looking for a strong, stable and motivated Sous chef who is a solid cook with stability in previous roles with previous sous chef experience working in similar style hotels and who can cope with the volume operation cooking to high standards. Someone who brings in fresh ideas to raise the standards further.
The Sous chef will be accountable for overall success of the daily kitchen operations together with the Head chef, with a focus on banquets. Exhibits culinary talents by personally performing tasks while guiding and motivating the small team. Works to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget. Supervises all kitchen areas to ensure a consistent, high quality product is produced. Responsible for guiding and developing a small team including direct reports. Must ensure sanitation and food standards are achieved.
The hotel is busy with lots of meetings throughout the year up to 400 covers.
