FOH MANAGER - THE GRILL AT THE COURSE AT WENTE VINEYARDS

We are seeking an experienced food and beverage professional with a proven track record for delivering outstanding customer service and business results.

Located just east of San Francisco in the historic Livermore Valley, Wente Family Estates is home to one of California’s premier wine country destinations, featuring wine tasting, world class concerts, fine dining at the award-winning Restaurant at Wente Vineyards, and championship golf at the Greg Norman designed Course at Wente Vineyards. POSITION SUMMARY: The FOH Manager oversees dining room and golf on-course service.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

- Manage business to financial budget established

- Conduct monthly inventory, accounting processes and other administrative tasks

- Interview, hire, schedule and train all FOH Grill and on-course staff

- Conduct staff meetings

- Utilize strong understanding of Hospitality and guest service to nurture a sense of dedication to excellence in terms of guest experience and guest advocacy

 

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS:

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and will demonstrate the highest degree of professionalism

- Wine and spirits knowledge

- Effective inventory and labor cost analysis and control experience, including experience managing and reporting on Profit and Loss

- A sound business acumen

- Strong organizational and planning skills

- Endless efforts toward total quality improvement

- Ability to provide continuous team building, staff development and training

- A minimum of 2 years restaurant management/ supervisory experience desired

- On-course Food and Beverage experience helpful

- Must be available to work weekends, evenings and some holidays
