Fua Noscritta nocontorno

Brooke Nelson

Since my time at FUA I have graduated from Stony Brook University with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry. Throughout the remainder of my time at Stony Brook I pursued volunteer opportunities abroad and went on three separate trips to Honduras where I set up free health clinics and worked on public health initiatives. I am currently an MD candidate at Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine in New York.

A small description of my time at FUA (I could write pages on this):

My time at FUA was by far one of the most invaluable experiences of my life thus far. I was able to reconnect with my Italian heritage and experience first hand what it is like to live as my relatives had. It was amazing to me to live in a place so immersed in history and be able to travel anywhere in Europe on the weekends. Going from a science background to an arts school gave me a greater perspective and made me a much more well-rounded person. The faculty and staff were very supportive and enthusiastic and made my time even better. Since my semester at FUA I have been back to Italy twice and will definitely be returning in the future.

My resume is available here.
