Join the John George Kitchen at Topping Rose House. We are seeking an Executive Chef with a passion for farm to table cuisine, selecting produce from the Topping Rose House Farm, choosing the finest local ingredients to create exceptional and enriching adventures in food. One who is inspirational and has the ability to lead a diverse group of eager Culinarians while successfully managing our facility.
We are looking for:
- Strong Leadership skills with the ability to manage a busy kitchen, that services the restaurant,
in-room dining and banquets.
- Expertise in food product, presentation, quality and preparation.
- Oversee the selection, training and development of all Culinary colleagues with a focus on
career development and growth.
- Responsible for attaining food cost by overseeing ordering, inventories, and food controls for
the entire kitchen.
- 5 years experience on kitchens with a strong operational knowledge and 3 years in a senior
Culinary leadership role.
- Proactive and able to make effective decisions.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Able to develop strong work relationships with both Guest and Colleagues alike.
- Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts or related discipline and asset.
