Essential qualifications include: butcher shop or meat processing experience; practical techniques including manual dexterity; ability to work with knives; knowledge of cuts; equipment use and cleaning; as well as processes including, but not limited to preparing, handling, deboning, trimming, tying, grinding and tenderizing of meats for preparation of retail cuts. Candidate must also be strongly motivated, independent, creative and resourceful. Customer service experience is also essential, including strong language skills to serve large English-speaking customer base. Successful candidate should also have a strong team spirit and dedication towards personal and professional growth as well as training to contribute to the development and expansion of the company.
Part-time, flexible availability; including Sundays (seasonal holidays). Opportunities for upward mobility are available for candidates demonstrating outstanding skills, and dedication.
Requirements:
o 1 – 2 years of experience as a butcher (preferred);
o 1 – 2 years of experience as a butcher (preferred);
o Associate degree (or equivalent) in food services or coursework at a culinary institute;
o Excellent communication skills;English (spoken)o Knowledge of food safety;
o Cleanliness and good personal presentation
