“Dedicated to Cody Durbin, an enthusiast of Italian cuisine. With his loss, the culinary world mourns an exemplary representative, a model professional for new generations, a focused, passionate, and quality leader.”

In accordance with the TuttoToscana short program held in Florence and NYC in partnership with the James Beard Foundation, FUA is proud to announce a new structure for the Cody Durbin Scholarship associated with TuttoToscana.
Started in 2015, the proceeds from the yearly FUA-AUF alumni dinner at JBF, held every fall, have contributed to scholarship funding. In honor of former TuttoToscana student Cody Durbin, this scholarship will help two students pursue their passion for the diverse disciplines of study featured in program academics.
Starting from the 2019-20 academic year, TuttoToscana will be offered in both the fall and spring seasons for students to have the opportunity to experience the integration of Tuscany into NYC. Thanks to the program expansion, the Cody Durbin scholarship has also been updated to feature two distinct scholarship opportunities for TuttoToscana.
The first scholarship is a 9-credit, 4-week program, where the student will spend 3 weeks in Florence and a week in NYC, including time at the James Beard Foundation. Students will be able to connect the hospitality, digital media, and food management to both cities. The fall sessions will also offer studies in visual arts, and students in the spring session can opt for a fashion focus.
The second scholarship is for the 3-credit, 1-week program held in NYC at the James Beard Foundation and locations related to visual arts (fall) and fashion (spring). The application deadline is June 1st, 2019 and group and individual interviews will be held in July.
