Studio Production produces world-class visual assets for NET-A-PORTER, MR PORTER, YOOX, THE OUTNET and ONLINE FLAGSHIP STORES Powered by YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP. Operating from our London HQ and US studio in New Jersey as well as Italian centres for excellences, our team includes Studio Coordinators, Product Library (Samples), Styling, Size and Fit, Photography, Video, Retouch, Product Editorial and Translations teams, with many working across a combination of all Group’s websites each week.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our team of photographers to work within our e-commerce studio in Mahwah, NJ, bringing the repertoire of products on NET-A-PORTER.COM, MR.PORTER, and THE OUTNET.COM to life through high quality digital photography. You will use beautiful lighting and a strong eye for detail, thereby constantly improving the shopping experience at YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP.
Responsibilities
- Working in the studio team alongside the stylists taking digital images of products.
- Ensuring that all products are lit correctly, efficiently and creatively, in accordance with brand guidelines.
- Producing high quality and consistently beautiful images, ensuring they are correctly exposed and color consistent.
- Perform quality assurance on all images.
- Ability to work well within a team working well under pressure with a flexible attitude.
- Prepare sets, checking that all equipment is functioning and setting up appropriate lighting to match our NAP lighting guides.
- Name and maintain digital asset files while accurately checking off daily shoot lists.
- Cropping and processing of all images, maintaining file size specification guidelines.
- Accurately archiving images to be easily accessed by other NAP departments.
- Mark up images with clear and informative notes for the retouch team
- Ensuring all images are ready in advance of daily uploads.
- Meeting daily and weekly deadlines to prepare for new website material.
- Responsible for care and upkeep of all studio equipment, props and supplies.
- Ad hoc duties.
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Degree in photography and/or previous experience in a studio environment
- A strong photography portfolio that demonstrates sufficient knowledge and techniques of digital photography and lighting along with high technical proficiency in PhotoShop, Capture One, Canon camera’s and Mac computers.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to work well to deadlines and under pressure.
- Proactive and able to take initiative.
- Detail oriented and creative.
