What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our website?
For the sole purpose of registration and community interaction on alumni.fua.it we collect the following data points: first and last name, gender and user-supplied (optional) avatar icon/picture or various other attachments.
When do we collect information?
We collect this information upon registration for access to the private areas of the site.
How do we use your information?
We may use the information we collect from you when you register, sign-up for our newsletter, respond to a survey or e-mail communication, surf the website or use certain other site features in the following ways:
• Allow access to the private area of the website.
• Sharing of your information only with the other members of the private area of the website.
• Attaching your information to posts you make in the private areas of the website.
How do we protect visitor information?
We do not comply with PCI standards as we do not process commerce transactions on our website. We use regular Malware Scanning and IT best-practices (including aspects of the PCI standard) for security, encryption, and storage of information. We do not force the use of an SSL certificate as we only provide articles and information, we never ask for sensitive information like credit card numbers online.
• Understand and save user's preferences for future visits.
• Collect website analytics data in aggregate form only for the purpose of improving our website functionality.
You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser (i.e. Internet Explorer) settings.
